Question Cleaning Time

Ughh my betta has grown to smart for his own good. Now he will hide under his leaf when I go to get him(I tried using a cup, the bowl he came in, AND a soup ladel) NOTHING WORKS!!! (I don't have a net, since I'm afraid it might scrape him, or ruin his slime coat) So fellow betta lovers, and fish bowl cleaners, what is the safe and gentle way to get a betta for a 100% water change???

Your betta's a little piggy right? Just drop in a bloodworm and scoop him up while he's eating! Hehe :)

I'll try that :) but I don't want him to associate a little cup with bloodworms, then he won't eat.

Haha really? My betta will eat anything, he even tried to eat styrofoam once but couldn't get it into his mouth.
