Crayfish anybody?

So, I have a pet crayfish yes?I rescused her from a fair.They were going to throw her away if somebody didn't win her!Anyways...I need some tips.I've been feeding her live red trout worms but I don't know what else to do other have built two smal caves in her tank and her a rock to dry off on.

ok id remove the caves. they grow fast and she may get stuck in a cave later. also i found my crayfish hides out too much. gets very antisocial LOL. just give him something he can sit under but not in it imo. its better.

for food, there's very good food for crustacians in pet shops. it brings out their colour and gives them what they need which is different than what fish need of course. now, my one LOVES some cooked unspiced chicken pieces.... she'd kill for a piece of chicken breast LOL.

Haha.Cute.Mine was grey when I got her.We actually did research to find out she was female.Named her Ally.Do you know if frozen peas are ok?Cause she likes to wait for them to thaw and sink.

^^^ dont know, but i wouldnt feed them too much veg.
i stick to pet shop foods and she loved it and is 100% healthy and happy :)

I have two female marbled crayfish (they self clone!) with eggs. There are no males in there species, only females. I am soon going to have a lot of babies, so if anyone wants some, i'm selling 'em. They are non aggressive, usually don't kill fish (but sometimes get nippy, so nothing that is slow with big fins) and can be communally housed. They actually care for their babies for a while too!

Don't put any fish in with your crayfish, or they will become crayfish dinner!

Yeah she wasn't happy to picked up at all lol!Keeps trying to escape from her container when she thinks I'm not watching.

Well, if she's trying to escape that means she's good and health. Do your best to keep her in there - dehydrated pets are no fun!

I had a newt that escaped... couldn't find it... found it 10 years later in the cellar, when the new heating system was put in. It was very dehydrated...
