I didn't buy another betta... nope. Not at all.

i JUST went in for some conditioner. xD
and the bettas, they didn't look so great. there was a really skinny one and all of the cups had excess food in them. it was disgusting. and i saw this little guy, being all shimmery and moving around a lot, like, c'mon, pay attention to me. i'm right here! i only went in for a few seconds before my hair appointment. and so i couldn't resist.

he's a cutie (: he's doing good so far, being responsive. i didn't see any visible signs of rot, fungus, ich, etc. he's a bit of a scaredy cat so far.

but i didn't have that much room for him, i mean, i have a bowl and demi's 2 gallon. so i went and decided to split demi's tank:

which is ridiculously crowded, but i figured it would be better than the three inches of water with like twenty pieces of food in it. i also figured i could try to wrestle some spending money from mom this weekend and buy a five gal or ten gal. ;D

i'll have some better pics of him when i get him in the tank. (:

OH OH NAMES i haven't named him yet but i'm thinking he'd make a good something ocean related. he's really green and blue. marine, maybe? oh man neptune fits him really well. what do you think? maybe something incredibly ironic, like kracken or something.

I didn't see nuffin! *whistles and walks away* He's a cutiepie :)

Neptune is an awesome name!
Also if space isn't an issue you could get a rubbermaid or sterilite bin for him. They're pretty cheap - $5 think at Walmart.

surf is an awesome name! xD it reminds me of a derpy surfer dude, which he definitely is. derpy, anyway.

KRACKEN in all caps. i can't take it seriously. xD

awahhh :C i'm sorry about skylight. do you have any pics? ):

okay, so.. i put him and demi in the little tank together. and i'm all, yeah this will work. i mean, what's the worse that can happen.
demi became all flirty and had vertical stripes all over her, doing this hey big boy ;) thing and wouldn't leave the divider alone, trying to get over there. and then this guy spotted her, and flared up like he was king of the jungle, and so i had to separate them. in any case, demi's glad to have her old setup back. even though she's still got the stripes.. probably wondering where that "hottie" went.

also thank you for the bin idea :D
i went to the dollar store and picked one up. so he's in his own little setup on my desk. he doesn't seem to mind it (: but are these okay for permanent homes? i wouldn't mind keeping it for a while til i can get a ten gal and all the equipment for it.

pictures of him before i took him out of demi's tank:

he's more of a teal color in reality. the lights just make everything bluer, including demi, who in reality has a dark body and blue fins, but she looks like a drop of blue paint whenever i take pictures of her. xD

He reminds me of Venom and Hughie.. that's the VT type we have plenty of here! He's beautiful. What about... River? Cyan(English meaning Blueish Green)? Indigo and Azure? Neel (blue in Hindi)?

Or Beau, it's handsome in francais :) LOL

haha. i'd so go with beau if it didn't sound like our dog's name, which is bo.
xD

it's really different, it's really pretty (:

ALSO, my friend pointed out that prince caspian of the chronicles of narnia is a brave sailor /explorer/warrior of seas. SO, this little guy will now be known as Caspian (:
