Question Breeding Setup Tank: Questions!!!!

Hi,

Here is pics of my setup, any suggestions/comments please feel free, this is my first time.

I have a couple questions, one is i have this slimey brown stuff on the bottom of my tank, im guessing its fromm the plants, any ideas???

I just put together my microworm culture today, how long does it take for the worms to appear, I guess? I read 3 days, 5 days, a week, so im confused.

Thanks!

Looks like detritus from plants, food, etc.

Personally I would add a lot more plants and hiding spaces but thats just me. Besides that it looks good.

Make the water a bit more shallow, seems a tad high. Yeah as 1fish2fish said, more plants and maybe a small cave for the female to hide in when the male plays Jaws. Also you may just not have added it yet, but something for the male to build his nest under. I like to use a styrofoam cup cut in half.

Good luck! BTW: The male in the pic looks just like my first betta Adamu, who died in March. Hes beautiful!

Maybe remove some of that wisteria(?) and allow some to float as well as have it in other spots in the tank. Make it like a maze :)

Meh.. I don't think the water level is too much of an issue. As long as they're properly conditioned they'll spawn in any level of water. I've done full 10 gallons all the way down to just 3"
