Is my tank to crowded?

I setup my 2.5 gallon tank a couple days ago. I'm wondering, Is there to much stuff in the tank? Will the fish be happy in the tank? Is there anything else I can do to make the tank better? This is my first Betta and I really want the fish to have a great life! I attached a couple different pictures below. Thank you for your input!

Top View (Please excuse the filter) The tank does have a lid with a light.

Of course it's too crowded, how are you gonna fit a Betta in there when I'M LIVING IN IT!! haha Seriously though, it's perfect.

Bettas like a good amount of crowding, it makes them feel more secure. It looks like your new betta will love his new home!

One question though, do you have a thermometer? Sometimes those tetra heaters can be iffy, so it's a good idea to have a thermometer in the tank to make sure the heater's working properly. Sorry if you do have one, I just don't see it. If you don't have one, you can get one at any pet store for around $2-3.
