I <3 Moss Ball Thread

So here we can chat about these quirky little moss balls to our heart's content since Bahamut has a valid point, that thread IS supposed to be about helping people with moss balls and not talking about how they're taking over the world.

So, I got a new moss ball. He needs a name.

They remind me of tribbles...and I love them.

I don't have any yet...The cheapest I have found them locally is $7.99 each..and I always end up buying a few bunches of stem plants instead with the $7.99..I want to buy some this fall/winter online though.

That's actually supposed to be one of their common names, Tribble. In my plants book they're listed as "Marimo, Moss Ball, Tribble."

I've had my four since about February and they're doing wonderfully. I originally got two, then curiosity got the better of me and I divided them.

Ah ... the trouble with tribbles, LOL

That's a unique reason for dividing your moss balls: curiosity.

Tisia, you scare me. Or rather, you're scaring my moss balls.

Crezelda, you could float Scruffy and his jar in the tank. Best of both worlds.

I want to get a moss ball but I heard some places put a golf ball, rock, or other item in the middle and wrap moss around it. I want the TRUE one. The real ones do not float, right?
