What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? topfin betta water conditioner, also recently API AQ salt due to a tail biting incident.

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? his belly is bloated/grey. eyes swollen a bit.
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? lethargic, irritable
When did you start noticing the symptoms?this morning, his belly has been bloated for 2 or 3 days though. just realized the whole thing this morning.
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how?not yet, want to know if it's dropsy first...
Does your fish have any history of being ill? just a short bit of tail biting which has healed.
How old is your fish (approximately)? 7 months? got him in june at petsmart and he was pretty good size so i am assuming he was about 4/5 months when i got him..

I can't remember from the other post, but the freeze dried worms, is it an everyday food, or just a couple times a week treat? Just curious since it causes bloating and constipation.

the bloodworms are a very occasional treat. he might get one or two worms every couple of weeks.

Also what is the does of AQ salt you have in the tank? and can you stop it AQ salt will actually help cause dropsy fish to bloat more. and can you get any photos yet?

I would go ahead and change him into the ES. It won't hurt him doing so.

Creat---i only put a teaspoon in there. it's temporary, and i will not continue it from now on. pictures will virtually never load on this computer so i even tried on my mum's desktop and i still couldn't get them uploaded. my camera is bad and you cant tell much anyway except his grey belly.
