Talking Lucky Me!!!

I went to our swat meet this morning even tho I still felt like puking from the night befor. I didn't bye anything but a sun keychain so I went to my dad and WOHOOO! He got a bag full of AQ plants! They look like the ones you get at the store. He got 7 plastic plant, a lava rock (not gona use) and a 100w heater for only 5$! Lucky me~

What should I do with the lava rock? I don't want to put it with Ula, his fins might get cut up.

Then we went to the store. I took my little sister to the cool pet store that wasn't to far away. I looked at the cool rope fish :D then I looked up at another tank. Then I saw it. A DRAGON FISH! I almost puked (I think I should see a docter) It was so so so so beautiful. I want to spend all the money in the world one a few :D

Both dragon fishes and Rope fish need VERY large tanks, and you are not suppoced to use lava rocks with bettas... I cant remember why though

*But GREAT find!*

I have a dragon fish...I had 2 that I rescued but the one little one passed away...I assume the ammonia burns he had when I got him were just too bad. :(
Dragon fish can grow to 12"+ (if kept in a large enough tank they can get nearly 2 foot) and will need brackish water to live at their best. They don't have the best vision and they shouldn't be kept with nippy fish...
They will also need a 55gallon+ tank. From what I have read they're best kept alone or in groups..They don't do well in pairs..I don't know much about rope fish, but they are neat. And that is a great deal on a 100 watt heater.
I have smaller round pieces of lava rock in my betta tank..I just make sure to fully cover them with thick moss first.

I have him in a 10 gallon quarantine tank right now...We have a 55 gallon but it isn't set up yet. I am slowly piecing it together...I have the tank I just need the filter now and a light. If you ever get a 45-55 gallon tank I highly recommend the dragonfish...They are really cool.
