Oh I've done it again...

Went to WalMart...saw a Betta...had to save it... >.<

But here's the back story first.

I can't go into any store that has Betta's now without looking. And looking in one of the tanks there was a beautiful purple and white VT, perfect fins, just stunning. I was drooling...but he's pretty close to how my Gandalf is color wise, so I hesitated. Then my boyfriend saw a red and black with a purple shimmer...and he fell in love with him. Welllll the only problem with the red and black is that his tail is basically cut in half, and his dorsal is a nub. But he seemed healthy. So I decided to leave the pretty intact purple beauty and take the red and black. The purple will get a home, I'm sure, and if not I'll snatch him later :P But the red and black really is a beauty, when his fins grow back he'll be stunning.

SO. New Betta. Names Viper....can tell I didn't name him, all my others are themed. My boyfriend's Betta Riot lives in a 15 gallon and takes basically no maintenance so he likes to "help" with mine. >.>

Which meant Viper got a little stressed cause my boyfriend wanted to "help" release him...and dropped him in the sink...my god I panicked... >.< He's okay though, stress striped, but good. ANYWAY. Pic time!

OH. And since Viper was in a tank with a couple other fish, we took a Betta from a too-empty cup and dumped him in the bigger tank. :P The WalMart dude didn't care. :D

He's very cute! Once his fins grow back he'll be a beauty :D

That's what I'm thinking. I want to get a better lit shot when he's a little less stressed, the purple shimmer to his scales really is pretty. He's huge though, bigger than all my other Bettas. Except maybe Riot..
