Talking Update on Ren, before and after c:

I havn't posted in like..a MONTH lol. I've just been busy with life C:

But anyway, I have some new pics of Ren!

I got him hooked on blood worms... lol. I used to feed him two pellets and a little bit of blood worms a day.. now he won't touch the pellets. Any ideas how to get him to want the pellets again?

And it's NON stop bubble nests with him, it makes me proud c:

Anyway, here are the pics!

Comments are appretiated.

The VERY bottom TWO pictures, are before and after c:

Okay, now here is the FIRST day I bought him C:

Now...AFTER! lol

Both pictures were taken in the same quality of light, same flash, EVERTHING. He's so purple now! lol. I love him so much.

AAHH! So pretty:D Is that the tetra water wonders? I have one but I loove the way you made the interior! And for the pellets, you could try soaking them in bloodworm or garlic juice (nasty I know!).

Such a big improvement!

Mine is hooked on bloodworms too. I tried the garlic trick. I was just happy that he was eating anything and now he's spoiled, lol.

Good job making him a happy swimmer :3

As for the food. it's time for some tough love. cut out the blood worms completely for a few days. What you've done is made him think that he gets two different meals. And he's learned to ignore the healthy stuff and go straight for dessert. Just give him pellets for a few days, and hopefully he'll get the message.

Then introduce blood worms as a treat!
once he eats his pellets, then give him a blood worm or two. That way he'll catch on to, "if i eat these round things, i get those delicious worms! I better eat these round things!"

lol thanks a lot krys. I tried that though, i've had betta for years, and he was the only one to completely ignore the pellets the second he had a taste of the bloodworms xD I didn't want him to die so i just kept feeding him some lol. But thanks, I'll take your advice! c:

my betta started doing that, haha. i had to stop feeding them bloodworms and then stop feeding them for a few days before they started eating their pellets again.
