Since you properly acclimate to both temp and chemistry of the new source water, use limited additives, other fish are fine.....you are most likely starting out with a very compromised fish and the small changes stress it sending it over the edge......not a lot you can do....except....try a drip acclimation and acclimate over 24h period.......sometimes with severely stressed fish any small sudden change can cause osmotic stress that usually will kill them in 1-3 days...no treatment once it happens...prevention only by drip acclimation......

Alright, sounds like a plan. I'm about to get 4 females from Chard; any advice for them when they arrive? I know I should allow destress time before trying to add them to the sorority...Anything special I should add to their QT containers? Green tea leaves?
