don't use Bettafix. it can damage her labyranth organ.

no other fins are missing or ripped? i don't think it's anything to worry about. my late Cup ripped his ventril clean in half, and didn't think twice about it. add a little aquarium salt to her water. does she have a bigger tank she usually stays in? if not, just keep her water extra clean, don't skip a water change, and it should grow back fine.

I noticed her fin under her belly (not the two long ones, but the short one that goes the length of her stomach) had a bite out of it. Literally, it looks like a bite, its a semi circle that is missing. Otherwise, no, shes good.
and no, thats her only tank.
THANK YOU!

try to upgrade her asap. she'll love it. :3

she could have ripped it on something. that's the only thing i can think of, if she doesn't have any tank mates. females' fins are usually too short for them to reach to take chomps out of themselves.

Do you use RO water? If you're using tap water a dechlorinator should be used to treat water. That's certainly not the problem with the fin, however just wanted to mention it. Tough to diagnose fin trouble without a picture...post one if possible. Do the fins have any white growths or tattered black edges?

Clean, dechlorinated water everyday for ten days, some epsom salt mixed at 1 teaspoonful/gallon...should help.

I'll get working on the epsom salt. And no. I use tap water and it have enough containers to let it sit out for like 2 weeks before I use it.

Epsom salt isn't really needed, imo. she's missing bits of fin. just clean water should sort the issue out, and her fins should start regrowing in no time. o.0
