Planning my wedding!!

I have been engaged for 3 months (since May 28) and we are getting married next yr (May 25) which is 9 months away... Anyway we have this big long love story. :)

I'm going for a shabby chic feel... kind of vintage... still have basically ALL my planning to do. Here's some ideas of what I like.

Etsy.com is a great resource. Anyone else planning a wedding?

Thank you :) I love the tent look too, but I am leaning against outdoor stuff. I'm nervous about heels and grass, and bugs, blah blah......... :/ But I love the outdoors, so I donno. Hard to make these decisions.

Maybe you could roll some sort of carpet on the grass for the bride to walk on?
You're a guy, right? I guess you should ask your partner about this stuff- like if you both want to do outdoors, then definitely go for it. I think that's 10 times better then traditional church weddings :)

Well, with heels on, a runner isn't going to do much to keep people from sinking into the ground. But I agree, outdoor weddings are nice.

Maybe you can find a place that has grass surrounding a pavillion, so there is something hard to walk on. I like the shabby chic look, it's great.

Also, in Rochester at the end of May, I dunno, I'd be a little concerned about freak rain showers. But maybe I'm getting my climates mixed up.

Outside weddings can be really nice. One if my buddies had a wedding out at this rock garden near us, in front of this big pond covered in water lillies. It worked really well. It was a very low key event too though.

Sakura, yes you are right about the rain. Rochester NY gets rain pretty much every season except winter (then we get snowstorms)... That is another reason I am hesitant about an outdoor thing. But if it didn't rain, and there were no bugs, and there was something hard to walk on... it could be great!

Amph... I'm about 22.5% sure I am the girl... well! I take that back.. I am 100% sure I am the bride in this relationship, and almost as sure that I am the girl in this relationship ahahahaha i joke i joke..... my fiance will kill me if he ever reads this >.<
