How many gallons is the critter keeper?
I have a glass heater in my 3 gallon critter keeper and I haven't had any problems with it.

It should be fine. Do you have a heater already for it?

I was wondering the same thing. Lakitu currently is without a heater.. But no worries! He's super active and the rooms a sauna anyway ;) But I'm looking more into it via advice from another forum.. If I gets a hold of this tank I'm waiting on (have a thread started on its measurments) then my next question was on heaters.

I was scared the heater would break the plastic.

I have heard good reviews on these little heaters:

I personally use a penn plax heater (cascade heat) I found it at pet supermarket for about the same price as the tetra, but it is adjustable.
