I got this pair http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oOf_efvPSY from Jodi in QLD. I intend on breeding them sometime in the next couple of months (just purchased breeding supplies today actually).

I also have some wild betta pairs sporadically breeding. But until I get some proper grow-outs up and running, it's sort of been a bit 'survival of the fittest'.

I'm wanting to end up with a heap of female fry so I can make a big sorority of (hopefully) blue marbles.

Yeah my Betta albi male escaped his DIY breeder box and released his fry into the tank. Saved one, but the rest scattered. Hope they don't become lunch.

Trying to work on my dad to get him to make two 8 bay barracks for my LFS males and get my fish room more organised. At the moment I have things sprawled everywhere. Mum would have a fit if I started setting up a spawn tank.

Sounds like you'll have your hands full if you get all of those boys successfully spawning.

Hi Everyone
We did our 1st spawn in March & just conditioning our 2 pairs ready for our next attempt in a couple of weeks.
We have CT. Have posted pics in the breeding & pics area.
Got our microworm culture & BBS is on the way. Can't wait to see what colours we get.
LBF, they are very nice. Got our first pair off Jodi this week too.

Haha I was wondering when I purchased a pair of splendens I intended on breeding. Then I saw this thread was started in 2011.

Sadly that pair is long gone. The male was absolutely stunning in person.

Good luck with your spawn JayM. What was your first spawn?

Oops LOL. Didn't even look at the date. First spawn was with cambodian CT. Sadly, the girl died in July from dropsy.

That's a shame.

You seem to have a few CTs. They are one of my favourite tail types but I never have any luck with keeping the fins of male CTs nice. No matter what I do the rays always melt away.

If I had a sorority again it would be all CT females.
