I have a 6.6gal tank with one of the 50w pre-set heaters from Walmart in it (Tetra brand), seems to be doing alright so far, it's been keeping the water at around 76. I need to move it closer to the filter, it's on the opposite end of the tank right now, which might help circulate the heat a little better.

ok!! Thermometers were on my list to pick up!! So the ones that stick to the outside are good? I don't want the ones that float bc I had one break on me before poisoning my fish! O.o
