40 gallon filtration question.

I was planning on purchasing a 20gallon long because I already have a 20 gallon filter.....However, now I am considering getting a 40breeder to divide...Would it be adequate filtration if I bought another 20 gallon filter and had one 20 gallon filter on each side of the tank? Or would I need to buy 2 new 40 gallon filters...I don't want to filters to be too strong and cause problems...this will be a divided tank.

If they were at both ends of the tank...

You also should compare specs does ( 2 ) turn over the same amount of water PER HOUR or more than ( 1 )

Model GPH Max Aquarium Size Hanging Width
100B 100 20 gallons 5”
150B 150 30 gallons 5 1/2”
200B 200 50 gallons 9 1/4”
350B 350 75 gallons 15 ”

Note: $29.99 for the one that filter up to 50G
NO reason to buy another 20g filter for $20 and have ( 2 ) maintain while one for slightly more money will do the job
