tempted by a HMPK male but what are they like?

After looking at all of these hmpks my long finned fish look weird! lol. I considered getting a hmpk as my next fish, but because my boys are in a divided tank I figured the longer fins make it slightly more likely that they won't jump. I figure the hmpks can really jump!

lol, I glanced up at my hugely-finned HM and thought something like that too.

And anything-PKs can jump... very well. On the first day I got Eli, he was an impulse enough that his tank water wasn't ready... dechlorinated, but not ready temperature-wise and such. I floated him in the cup anyway... and this was back when he really couldn't see Anything out of his blind eye, so he was super scared of almost everything. (It didn't help I had him sort of hidden between my tv and the wall at the time.) I wanted to get some pictures of him to show off and when I suddenly appeared to him from behind the tv, he got so scared. Poor thing actually flew out of the cup and into the tank, then proceeded to bury himself in the gravel. I felt so bad. |D'

They really are. You might can tell from my signature how addicted I got... I even considered outting some tanks up on my shelves for more fish. >> But that would've been bad for me, since I leave soon. |D;
