I moved my betta, Ammo, to a 6.6gal tank after spending the first two months of life with me in a .5gal vase and I was wondering if he was any happier. It's been a few days now and I think he is starting to settle in and really like it, in fact, I caught him putting on a little show this evening!! I'm really excited, this was the first time I've seen him flare (flaring means they're happy, right?), and I was lucky enough to be able to snap a few decent pictures! So, enjoy!
Sorry some of them are a bit blurry, I was trying to capture his tail as best I could because someone mentioned in an earlier thread that he might be an HM... what do you guys think? I can't believe how much more his tail spreads out! I am super impressed! (Oh and are the insides of his gills supposed to be red like that?)
PP, amazing shots with that gorgeous fish of yours! I love how his caudal fin is scalloped.
as a side note, I don't think flaring means happy If that's the case, my Lapis is the happiest betta on earth lol
Wow great looking fish penny! Is he a Blue Metal Rose Fin? I'm still new to spotting the different types. Trumpet that guy has some sweet color to him. If he doesnt have a name yet, Derpamise Prime comes to my mind, and apparently I'm a pro at naming fish.
McDerppington, I'm still not sure what he is exactly, lol. I've had a few suggestions, a couple saying he's lavender so that's what I've gone with thus far. You're right, think he could have a rose fin but I'm not sure!
Earthworm - lol you're right, I worded that weirdly. I know flaring means they're like, pissed off right? haha. But what I meant was, they do it more often when they're feeling good? (Hence my poor word choice of "happy") ??
