new betta, bubble nest already

My brand new betta, who I brought yesterday has made a bubble nest, he's in his own tank, does this mean he's settled already

Probably a good indication that he's comfortable. Happy bettas make bubble nests so......

A male betta will make a bubble nest when he feels like hes in the mood to breed/mark his territory(as thats what the nests are used for as well).....some nest like crazy all the some, and some never nest. Some will make huge, thick nests in a filthy little store cup, and some won't even nest under perfect breeding conditions.
Its not an indication of happiness exactly; its just instinct.

Your guy is probably just a nester(a betta who nests frequently)
