Going on vacation, again.

I am leaving to go on vacation this Thursday, I will feed my betta of course before I leave(Thursday afternoon). I will be gone Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Coming back on Monday. Will they be okay for 3 days without food? I am thinking they will be. I can get someone to feed them, but if its not necessary, than I would rather not. Mainly because I don't want them over/under fed. So will they be okay?

Thanks guys

Your biggest problem will be water changes. Bettas can survive for at least 2 weeks without food. If they are not in cycled/filtered tanks then you are obviously doing water changes fairly frequently. If they are in 1 gallon or less, you have a problem with the amount of time you will be gone. If they are in 2+ gallons do a water change right before you leave and do another one when you get back. If they are in cycled/filtered tanks at 5+ gallons then you are probably only doing water changes once a week so you should be just great!

I just went away for 4 days and left my boys in their 5.5 gallon split tank. When I checked the ammonia when I got back it was still at 0! They were both hungry, but otherwise just fine. :)

They are all in a filtered and heated tanks. I can do water changes, before I leave and when I get back. So thank you very much!

It really does help a ton to have them in filtered tanks. Other than having a divided tank that only had fish in it for a week (thus not fully tested as a divider in my opinion), I was able to leave my fish virtually worry free!

Based on what you've said they'll be fine :).
