Oh my god. The weirdest thing just happened o.o

I had two bettas in a 2.5 betta bow. With a divider.

And when I look back my bettas are on completely opposite sides o.o
None of them look hurt. But woah Im shaken up.
Im now putting one of this fish in a critter keeper.

Has anything like this ever happened to you?

Are you sure you didn't turn the tank around, or completely forget which betta was on which side?

That's really weird...........

No. I didnt turn the tank around. I was looking at them. And a few minutes later their on completely different sides o.o

I dont think they could of jumped over the divider. If they did they would both have to jump to switch sides o3o

Wow, what may have happened but theres no real way to tell could've been that 1 fish jumped over and the other felt scared or threatened by the other so he also jumped to the side where the first came from and now they're opposite. That's possible.

Bettas can, and WILL jump. And alot higher than you think. I have heard up to 6" out of the water.

I keep the water line 3" below dividers to try to curb jumping.

Likely what happened, is one boy jumped the divider, and the other jumped to the other side to escape. I've seen it happen personally.

Honestly, 2.5 gallons is a bit small to be divided .. I think it's probably best for you to keep one in the 2.5 and one in the KK

Well thats whats going on now.
I knew it was sort of small to be divided but I wanted to give it a go.
Both seem fine in the tanks their in now.

Is it a minibow? I had my divider in upside down and my fish could squeeze through O.O I found this out later (after stuffing fake plants into the sides so they couldn't get through lol) and fixed it.
