Question 2 betta together no fighting???

I get a new betta fish and a divided tank, after I set it up and put my 2 betta fishes in it.I find out the plant is hurting them(Sharp end),so I take it out and I move the dividerand the fishes is now together.Well they did not fight, later I put the divider back and dump the fishes from a glass bowl to the tank. So,why they are fine together

Welcome to the forum...

I am going to assume these are two males....correct.....its not recommend to keep Bettas together-except for a well planned sorority of females...especially 2 males....right now you are lucky and its just a matter of time before they start fighting......I strongly recommend you separate them and use the divider.....

There are 2 males and they did not fight because the plant hurt it?Because after I fix everything they keep trying to fight(Plants not there).

Please get them out of that tiny tank. It's small to the point of cruelty, and seeing each other all the time in that tiny space would stress them out to no end.
You can get a 10 gallon for just 10 bucks at petsmart- that is just a few dollars more then that kit, correct? If you don't have space for a 10 gallon, then 5 and even 2.5 gallon with a lid is just 10 too. For now you should give one of them the full run of the place and put the other in a large container- like a big jar, or a tupperware.

Sorry if i sound rude, but that truly is an inappropriate place for them to live.

the 2 males may seem fine together now, but i'd separate them NOW, because like humans, one could snap and attack.

There are many ways to get around having fish on a budget. You can find a large vase or glass pickle jar (at least 1 gallon in size though). You can also get a plastic bin from a dollar store or Wal-mart, etc for very cheap and keep your fish in one of those. If you leave them in that tank eventually they are going to get sick. Imagine being stuck in a closet divided in half and you have to stare at the person living in the other half of the closet day in and day out for ever, you can't even hide from that person... Imagine how that would feel.

The same way that would stress you out it stresses your fish out. Fish who are stressed have lower immune systems which makes them more susceptible to illness. Plus a tank that size, with two fish in it will need 100% of the water changed EVERY DAY or else the ammonia from fish waste will build up and make them sicker.
