Eels?

Anyone know anything about freshwater eels and bettas?

A definite no.

The species of freshwater Eels I know of all get large.....like 50+ gallon large...and could, and would, likely easily snap up and eat a little betta if they got the chance.

Now, for something Eel-like....if you have a 15+ gallon you could always get a few Kuhli Loaches, they don't get very large(3-4" I think?) and are pretty none-aggressive, plus they hand around the bottom level for the most part and are nocturnal, but they do like to be in groups(4+ I'd say....which is why I said 15+ gallons).

My ex is thinking about starting an aquarium and wanted to know if they could be put together. I said probably not but I know nothing about eels and find them creepy so I thought I'd ask here.

Eels are aggressive and best housed by themselves or fish larger than they are :)
