What size tank? And it may not "look" dirty, but you don't know what is microscopic and swimming with your fish =)

People who do frequent water changes are far from bad owners in any way. Whatever works for each fish/owner to keep them happy and healthy =)

I have a 2.5 gallon tank, and I'm going to do 100 percent water changes twice a week and it's an uncycled tank. Do you guys think that's okay?

I've come to the conclusion that all these threads asking about water-change frequency are missing the point.

Until someone with impeccable credentials and experience corrects me, this is my answer to, "How often should I change the water in my (whatever size) tank?"

Whenever it tests at .25ppm ammonia. (Can I put that in caps, bold and underlined?)

How much to change is where the discussion should begin, IMHO.
