Plant/Betta NOOB

I really like the benefits of having a planted betta tank. That saying what are your guys favorite plants that are safe for bettas? i know anubias and that moss ball is popular but anymore out there!? i was looking at Java Ferns (are those safe) it says it needs a PH of 6.0-7.0 and isnt bettas PH levels supposed to be 0 right? im a newbie please help ASAP

You probably mean that bettas prefer a neutral pH level, not "0," and I believe that is correct. 7.0 is neutral on the pH scale, so a java fern would be fine for a betta's tank.

Besides the plants you mentioned, I also like cryptocoryne, I have a few in my tank that are doing great. The plant I bought was small but I've since split it a few times; they are growing quickly with very little maintenance. I also like banana lillies.

Java fern is an excellent plant. Don't plant it in the substrate however. Attach it to a rock or piece of driftwood. Other great plants are java moss, hygrophilia, anacharis, watersprite, and some people like hornwort. These are all easy to grow, beginner plants.
