If you're going for a natural planted tank...You will want to get a soil that does not contain added fertilizers.

Get an organic soil with no fertilizers, formulas, etc... Miracle gro Organic Choice is a popular one for npt tanks.

Are you setting up a natural planted tank.....if so, organic type soil as the other have recommended, no additives, ferts..etc....or you can use top soil......be sure and sift it first to remove all the big pieces of debris and be sure you start with enough of the right type of plants....soil can get toxic really fast unless you have the right plants to take care of it to start....

That's the plan!
I can't trust the soil where I live, they treat the grass so often to keep it green and the bugs away. I don't plan on doing it soon, but I'd like to eventually (:
Thanks OFL (:
