Fishy Funds ;) Digital Artwork

If anyone wants a digital drawing (I do draw the bettas better than I have them in the album as linked below), I'm actually selling those, full color with a background of your choice*, for $10 (more than one fish --> $1 per extra). Which $10 for full color and full background with a fish is... actually a great deal. Funds go towards my fishies, of course. If I get enough commissions... maybe I can pay off a few bills, too. xD;

Previously done digital drawings: http://s1185.photobucket.com/albums/...0Fish/Artwork/

Request I called dibs on not long ago today:

Basically it's this:

Sketches (traditional and colored, or digital and flat-colored) are free, as put in this thread: http://www.bettafish.com/showthread....027#post816027

Full colored digital drawing, and you get this for $10:
Colored/detailed background (will be slightly blurred as the fish is the focus); one betta that's fully colored, shaded, and detailed; signatured work; 1-3 plants of your choice.
Any extra fish/inverts are $1 each.

I make two versions - one will be a downsized, bettafish.com-friendly piece to post back on the threads. The larger version is wallpaper-sized. You'll have to specify your screen's resolution, but I can make the wallpaper as large as you need/want it. Note that a larger size means a larger file to download.

A little more wallet-friendly: If you want all this, but also want it a little cheaper, I can do flat coloring. Basically it's all you get in the full-color digital, but there's no shading to fish or the background. It will look more cartoon-ish. These will only be $6.

A little more wallet-eater (lol): If you want all that's in the full color digital, but don't want it digital.... So be it! Full color Traditionals are available, too.
Specify your medium (paint, colored pencils, markers, etc.) and I can quote you on the cost. Starts at $15.

In any case, whether interested or not, thanks for looking. ;D

Outstanding, I adore the art style. Very well done.
You will get some work from me if I get the job I have an interview for tomorrow.

As there has been a bit of confusion with the difference between free and commissioned:

The difference between what I'm selling and what's free:
Free:
Sketch of your fish... any number of your fish, really... that isn't as cleanly colored or drawn as the paid-for version. The shading will be none to very little, and there will be a solid, simple, or no background added. Details are at a minimum, as well. If anything, it's a more rough cartoonish look.
If desired, I'm also willing to replace coloring with just shading. A black-and-white picture, really.

Commissioned:
These are drawings of your one fish (with $1 per extra fish) that are drawn cleanly (no frayed lines) and colored more detailed (more to your fish's color, no accidental out-of-the-lines coloring, etc.). Can be done as detailed as each scale on the body, should the commissioner want it. (I'll need a decent picture though, if at all possible.)
Midgrounds/foreground plants are also included. 1-3 is the limit... more if the plants you chose are generally small. Really it depends on the species of plant to determine how many you can have... I might have to note that in my ad, but if, say, you wanted five Amazon Sword plants, I can do an extra 3 of the rather large plants (unless you wanted them small) for the same cost as one extra fish. The only reason I limit plants is to keep the picture from getting too crowded.
Backgrounds are blurr-detailed... meaning you can have an elaborate castle in the background or a sunken ship in the background, or maybe you just want it to be as simple as a vast space of open water... but it will be blurred. The focus of the picture is supposed to be your fish, anyway. ;)
While commissioned pieces are intended to be the more realistic pieces, I've never quite proven to be a realistic artist. It will be of vibrant color, rather than mature, and there will be some things expressed more than in a real betta. Example: the eyes are likely to look less like a real betta's and more as they're seen in the sketches I've done as posted here.
Color in commissioned pieces can also be converted to mid-contrast black and white. In either case... you betta(s) will have the most detail than anything else.

Apologies for the double-post. I felt like I should give more of a profile for you guys to see. So you know how I do each. :)

Traditional Painting:

Realistic Fiction:
These are not my best exampe of this, but you get the idea.

Digital:
A decent example of how commissions will go, though they will still be cleaner than the first example.

Markers:
Something of an example that makes me wish I had something better to show... because showing this, I feel stupid. |D;

Sand!:
Yes, I'm willing to make a sand sculpture of your fish. Colors, obviously, cannot be done.*

Ink'd:
Not markers... pens.

Traditional Halfsketch:
Basically this is where the finished piece looks half-finished. The entire picture is "complete" on one side, then fades into a rough sketch.
http://art3.server01.sheezyart.com/image/235/2356506.jpg

*Sand sculptures cost $35, as it requires me to take a trip to the beach, sit out in the sun for approx. 6-8 hours, and take detailed photos. Obviously I can't snail mail the sculpture to you... but you'll have lots of great pictures of your sand sculpture. ;)
Even if I get commissioned for two halfmoons, I'll create a new HM sculpture per person. No two sculptures are alike.

Thanks! And Ha, yes. x) I am a supporter of his, and his music is amazing.

Not a fan of how popular he's getting in the USA, but then no one can control that. xD;
At least... I can say I'm a Joel Zimmerman supporter and not the figure Deadmau5.

(Btw... I say supporter... because according to Joel, "fan" is a dirty word. XD The way he explained it, I agree... except I don't remember the explanation anymore. :P)

:) He makes such awesome youtube vids.. He loves his little kitty and I believe he is responsible for the original of ... THIS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4u-aJnvajxI At least it looks like Mr Meowington (or whatever its name is)

I was fortunate to see deadmau5 when the Juno's were here last year and because of the Icelandic volcano most of the people got stranded here. He called a last call show that night after the Juno's and very hastily put it together.. It was a full house. Word travels fast here :)

Professor Meowingtons, yes. x)
(I'm a little ashamed and scared to say that I unofficially stalked the guy and his Ustream videos for a while. LOL;;; )
Also: ... He's responsible for hamsters climbing a rope? lol

I so wish I could go to his concerts... But I live 8 hours away from the nearest stadium he could perform at, and I don't even know if he goes there. xD I might also keep myself from listening to his music altogether after I do see his concert.... I don't know why. But when I saw TiŽsto at the UCF Arena, I absolutely could not listen to his podcasts or music afterwards. It was the most epic and amazing event I could have ever dreamed of going to, but I can't do it. I have no idea why. xD; I just recently started listening to his podcasts again...

Then again, I haven't been stalki-- I mean watching over Deadmau5's new music or Ustreams for a while. Maybe if I go to a concert, I'll start again? >>

Who knows. |D;;

Just wanted to up this post so it doesn't get pushed way back to the abyss.

Commissions are still open!

And so I'm not adding a possibly slightly pointless message, I'll post some of the recent sketches I've done on my free thread:

DIGITAL:

TRADITIONAL:

Note that these are sketches.... Commissioned work is done more cleanly and more true-to-color.
