Betta is having trouble with Bubble Nests?

My betta Daz has started building a bubble nest about two hours ago and has gone back to it every 5 minutes to put up another bubble, but the bubbles (there are roughly 20 at the surface of the water) are all spread out away from each other! The water surface has little to absolutely no movement... Is this just normal???

Yes, thats normal....he may just be starting a bubble nest; 20 bubbles aren't a whole lot. Some make them a little slower then others. He may also just not be a very strong nester...
But, its nothing to really be concerned about.

Yah.... I have a guy that seems like he's going to be a frequent nester. Sometimes he will do a nice sized nest and sometimes he will randomly place a few bubbles around plants, the heater, themometer, etc.

Yeah I think that that is what Daz is doing mjoy79, he's just occasionally going up to the surface of the water and placing a bubble somewhere, like he's just saving them for later lol

My Bo does that too. There is a line of bubbles half way around the tank. But none spread into the tank - just against the tank walls. lol.

Actually I've noticed that Daz does a line of bubbles around the tank too haha
