Plastic Cup safe for hidey hole?

Would a plastic hefty cup be safe for a betta as a cave?

Puck was in it today when I was cleaning the bowl; and it kind of fell to the side in there. He hasn't gone inside it since post-cleaning yet, but he's not much of a hidey-hole fish, unlike my Zamboni. However, Puck enjoys swimming underneath it and rubbing against it, so I think it seems fine, so long as I don't find out otherwise that the plastic is not good for them or something.

Thank you!

There shouldn't be anything wrong with a plastic cup. Just make sure that there are no sharp edges. Bettas also like floating plants, if you are interested in adding live plants. Just make sure that if the plant grows, the betta still has open water to reach the air to breathe.
