Maybe your betta is stressed? Without a heater, temperature can fluctuate between night and day greatly, and temperature changes can stress the fish out. I would reccomend purchsing a heater to keep the aquarium at a constant, reliable temperature. Other than that, when I have had bettas with ripped fins they have healed themselves in about a week.

Okay when I have enough money I will do that but even in my smaller tanks that still have no heater they never get ripped fins I don't think it is the heater maybe it could be something else here is a pic of the tank if it helps I can't get a pic of him good because he is a cellophane marble

If they're ripped, it can either be blowout from flaring at something, or he's a tail biter. There may also be something he swims past that may also cause them to rip.

Just keep his water extra clean for the next few days to prevent the tears from developing fin rot. If you have any stresscoat+, it will help him heal up :)
