I've been a ciclid owner for about seven years now, and I just recently got my first betta. That said, these two breeds are about as different as can be.

So I've had my new buddy for about three days now, and although he is doing fine, there appear to be small foamy bubbles floating at the top of his fishbowl. Can someone tell me what is going on here?!

He's made a bubble nest!

That is good. Male Betta fish do that when they are ready to breed, content, or bored.

It is totally fine. No need for concern.
