As long as you do a correct amount of water changes she'll be fine.

No problem! Sounds like a good plan, i've been trying to do an NPT shrimp bowl for like a month now, but keep pushing it back so I know how that is haha.

Oh he is cute tiny and super skinny. Time will take care of all the problems. He will grow and gain weight. My Ghost gets a mix of pellet brands. Twoo in the AM and 2 in the PM

I really can't wait to see the female! She's a VT right? My fav betta is also a female VT. She's my avatar, that's Garnet. she's a little baby. Anyways, yes a female will def be ok in a 1 gallon, because right now Garnet is living in one. she is not accepted in my other communities, so I'm gonna be buying her, her own 5 gallon, with lots of plants, and ghost shrimp. I may see how neon tetras do, because I want her to be happy, but she's so small and really not more then a fry. she's MAYBE 6 months, and still itty bitty. But anyhow, so long as you can find a heater for it. DO NOT buy zoo med heaters, for bowls/vases. it will fry your fish. I nearly had one kill a fish that was in the 1g as an ER. never again.
