Ammo's New Digs

I had divided my tank and got another betta, but he died while in QT. :( I have been pretty bummed about that so I decided to scrap the divider all together and just work on planting my tank and making it really awesome and natural-looking.

So, today after work I headed to my LFS to check out some plants. I came home with a huge bunch of anacharis, a clump of java moss, an awesome piece of driftwood and two ghost shrimp (they only charged me for one) for $15! :D I then went to Walmart and got a new filter, because my old one was making a lot of nasty foam in my tank. Then I spent the rest of the evening putting everything together and voila! New pad for Ammo :) What do you think?

:( I'm sorry you lost your one betta in QT. It's a good thing then that he was quarantined, so your other guy didn't get sick.

Thanks everyone :) I'm pretty proud of it! I want to get some fishing line and tether down some of the java moss, it's really got a mind of it's own haha. I also hope the anacharis grows quickly so I can trim it and replant some on the other side of the tank to hide the filter more, but I may end up being impatient and just going to the LFS and getting another bunch of it because it's only $2.99 *score*

I was browsing plants online yesterday and I'm really glad I decided not to order anything. The LFS is much cheaper, I was surprised! Anyway, when I was looking at stuff I was really inspired by pictures of tanks that I saw, this one in particular!!

I am kind of kicking myself for being too shy to ask the guy to scoop some duckweed into the bag for me :\ There is a TON of it in all their tanks, and he was really nice, gave me two ghost shrimp for the price of one so I'm sure he would have done it but I'm kinda shy about stuff like that >.< Haha oh well, next time!

Thank you, all! I went back to the LFS today, looking for java fern but they didn't have any nice ones so I just got some more anacharis, and some duckweed! I love how the stuff gives the whole tank a nice green tint :)
