20 gal long new set up!

Hey guys,

I found a 20 gal long on craigslist with hood, light and heater for $40. I snatched it up, cleaned it up and finally got to put water in it today. I apparently didn't rinse the pool filter sand well enough initially as I filled it up and it was fairly cloudy. I left it for a few hours but saw no improvement so I decided to do a WC. It improved the water clarity dramatically!

I intend to pretty well fill up the back with silk plants and then green up the sides a bit with some easy to care for live plants. I've also got a friend who is going to be supplying me with some slate tiles which I will break up and silicone together into some fantastical shapes.

Tomorrow I head for London drugs for some ammonia to start cycling. I'm super excited! Anyways, picture!

Oh! And I've pretty well decided to house a sorority in this tank along with some pygmy corydoras. :D

That's a great tank, but if you do a sorority you'll need far more plants and hiding places. Coffee mugs work great for caves! If you want them all to match, hit the Dollar Store!

Thank you. I will be filling it up with caves and plants, this is just the initial set up so that I can get cycling.
