Betta fry: 5 weeks old questions

Hi there,

I have a couple questions!!! I currently have my 13-15 fry in a 10 gallon. They are now 5 weeks old. I was thinking about buying a 20 gallon long to continue my breeding. Is it a good idea to switch the fry into the 20 gallon or it doesnt matter???

If yes, how would I go about doing that?

My fry are all different sizes, 2-3 of them are double the sizes of the smaller ones. None are really tiny though.

Suggestions/Opinions Please! :)

Yes I would put them in a larger container to grow out until they need jarring for aggression.

The best method I've come across is to drain out some water in the 10 gallon, and then place the 10 gallon into the new tank (that isn't full) and tip the 10 gallon over and let the fry swim out into their new tank.

Okay thanks I figured that would be the best way. But, obviously all the water from my 10 gallon will not be enough to fill the 20 gallon long even half way...sooo should i add water? how much? a little each day or?
