Question Orange Dalmations?

Are orange dalmations rare???
I saw one in PS the other day. :)

And another question, I saw one that had a blue body then white just before the tail. The tail was red. What are these classified as?

It really depends on the area you are in. Some places seem to have a lot of one type, but not others. Some people would think that an orange dalmation is rare, but I see one just about every time I go into my local Walmart so I don't consider them rare. It just depends on what the breeders are producing and putting out in that area and where the store gets their stock.

Week before last, when I found that light metallic blue and mustard gas betta.. I also saw a few dalmations.. they were orange-pink. Made me wish I had many extra tanks that day when I went there. Trust me.. they had about every coloring one could imagine. *sigh* I wanted to cry walking out of there, but didn't want my new guy to think I didn't want him.. so held my chin up.. some =P

Here, tri color is semi-rare. Orange is very common, red is somewhat common, green is super rare, purple is semi-rare, dalmations don't exist, and mustard gas is rare :p

I have a dark blue with red highlights male, a tri colored male, an orangish pink/purple male, black female with metallic blue/green, two (possibly three purple females and a pink one ^^

There was a time when orange dalmations were new and hard to find. But so many people started breeding them that they soon became just as commons as blues and reds in some places. Whenever I go to petco or petsmart there are always at least 2 or 3 orange dalmations.

But in other places they are not common at all. And from what I've seen the color is more common in veiltails then in other tail types, but that's just my observation.

The other one you described sounds like some sort of marbling. Marbling is unpredictable and can manifest in all sorts of different ways and patterns.
