Got home and Betta ripped up other badly!!

My two betta are in a divided tank and I cleaned it earlier and didn't realize that when I put the divider back in, it was off the track. So the other betta slid through and ripped him up

Someone please help. He is now in his own tank with BettaFix.

That happens to me. I wouldn't use BettaMix. That can kill Bettas. So... stop. Now.

Does he have any open sores or anything else> If his tail just got ripped then it wll grow back on its own. No need for medication.

What size tank did you have them in?

you'll want to change both of their waters a little more frequently to avoid infection, but medication shouldn't be necessary if you caught them quickly.

For the most part, it just looks likes ripped/shredded fins. I don't see any open sores.

I had that happen before, and the looser was laying on the bottom of the tank. Once I had him out he perked right up :)

I put him in a heated(around 80 degrees) and filtered 2 gallon.
No air stone.
No mates.

Mostly Aqueon Pellets and Nutrafin Max.
Once a day 3-5 pellets/flakes.

Once a week. 100% water change, sometimes twice a week at 50%.
I only add Conditioner.

I know nothing about the water parameters.

His color is sorta faded. But its still there.
He seems shaken up, very scared.
Just now.
BettaFix.
No.
No more than a couple months.

Sounds like he'll just need clean water and some time to calm down. feed him high protein foods mixed in with his regular to help his fins grow back faster.

You technically don't need the medication for him, just make sure you stay on top of water changes and maybe do an extra 50% every week to keep everything clean. Just do 2 50% and 1 100% per week and he'll be healed up quickly.

For regular from now on you might want to do 1 505 and 1 1005 weekly on the 2 gallon if that is going to be his home now.

It's not going to be a permanent home, and thank you, I will watch him and do the water changes.

^ I agree with Pataflafla. :) Clean water will heal his fins right up!

Oh and to corrects BettaMiah, BettaFix won't kill your betta. It can irritate their labyrinth organ (which they use to breath air), but it will not kill them in any way. MelaFix is the one you want to stay away from. That one will (if used incorrectly) seriously harm your fish. I'd just use clean water for torn fins.

If you have any other problems/concerns/questions don't be shy! :D

Actually I do now, I noticed he keeps trying to swim down. I know that sounds weird, but it looks like he is looking for something under the gravel. He's never done this, He is literally straight up and down looking at the gravel. Anything I should be concerned about?
