Is there anything I need to do with the moss ball BEFORE adding it to the tank? Should I quarantine it or something? If so, how long?

Be caredul with marimo moss, last week I went to the petshop to buy one and the shop assistant told me that It would be best get a flame moss, phoenix moss or spiky moss, so the marimo moss normally tend to invade your fish tank, in fact he showed me how he removed 2 or 3 balls a few months ago but you can see rest of moss on the plants. And if you remove the moss this tend to reappear.
