From what I'm reading, it sounds like everything's okay. I take the pacing as just something bettas do from time to time. If you get a video of him, show us what you mean. I could be picturing it completely wrong, but in all honesty, as long as he isn't acting lethargic and no clamped tail, torn fins, etc., he's probably fine.

Nope. Just back and forth... Under the filter for some reason. XP It started when i cleaned it out last week (i had no idea the thing came apart so much O.o) and turned it up so i dunno if he's playing with the fact that maybe its sucky-er? He acts perfectly fine when i go over there and say hi to him. I wasnt sure if it was something i should be worried about or not so i wanted to ask. Thanks for your reply. :3

It's possible he's just playing with the current.

Yep. :D
SR-71 loves the current on his filter. Uncle actually built his bubble nest behind the waterfall from the filter, too. (It wasn't the filter making the bubbles, I actually saw Uncle building it there.)
Some bettas just love the filter current.

He could be playing with the current or he might be bored.

You could try putting rinsed ping pong balls or bottle caps in his tank for him to look at and push around. He might like to chase a button tied to a string too. I find my boys and girls like to chase and nip the button toy.

Ok! I have lots of bottle caps cause everything i drink at school (mostly) is out of a bottle, so i'll try that. Thanks so much for your input! :D :D
