Question about my betta's behavior

My betta fish (Pip) loves to be fed and will follow my movements. He gets really excited when it's feeding time, and sits right where I drop his pellets.

Lately I've been noticing that he sits in that same spot all the time, even when I'm not in the room (and just peeking from another room - yeah I know it's weird to spy on your fish.)

Do you think maybe he's bored? Or is he hungry? I haven't seen him act like this before but he has been sitting in that spot for hours. (He sits in the watersprite that I have floating in the 5g tank.)

Sorry, that feeding is wrong.


I used to feed him that, now I feed him pellets 3-4x a day with 1 pellet at a time.

The pellets I feed him are Tetra brand. Are there better brands out there?

Hikari is a good brand if you can find it, also New Life Spectrum. I really have no clue what's wrong with your boy, you seem like to tank good care of him. I'll bump this until someone can help you better.

HE could be your common betta, begging for food like the little piggies they are! I know mine do.
