ants, egg yolks

if it is, should i feed it to condition the bettas(the topic i read for the ants), make it a feed for fry(the topic i read for boiled egg yolks), or both?

I wouldn't recommend ants (or any insects you find around the house) for conditioning or food.

Hard boiled egg yokis fine for the first week or so for fry food but you;ll need other foods rady before breeding.

if you have alocal pet store i recommend live or frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp for conditioning and frozen BABY brine shrimp, decap brine shrimp eggs, or freshly hatched brine shrimp. You can get the frozn stuff at petsmart. the brine shrimp eggs and decap brine shrimp eggs you may have to buy online unless you have a local store that has them.
Many reptile stores have live blood worms.
I've also fed live flightless fruit flies(culture bought from petsmart) to condition the parents. and they love to tear apart pinhead crickets.
