Not sure what it is....but im guessing 100% water changes every day. (to the smarter people) can you use AQ salt with medications to increase its effectiveness?

He's beautiful, I would have taken Jim home as well.

I came on this forum with a rescuers mind, asking why people still buy fish and support abuse. But I've come to learn, a $5 fish not being bought won't fizz them. A $19 fish hurts but no different than loosing a bird before its bought. Instead, focus on the fish you are making a world of a change for. After all, the fish is what matters. No store will stop selling bettas because one or two refuse to buy them :( I love where the heart is, but sadly this idea just doesn't work with such a cheap pet.

I'm sorry, but it is very hard for me to tell what it may be from those pictures. I'm confident it isn't ick, but from the pictures I cannot say it's columnaris either. Although the talk of stringy white stuff floating around and globs makes me think it still may be. I'm not very experienced with Betta diseases and treatment, so hopefully someone who is will chime in.

Donna - You do bring up a good point. I can relate to having the "rescuers" mind. Betta's are cheap to the big corporations that get them from mass producing mill breeders. That is one of the big reasons they don't put much effort into proper care and don't make a big deal over Betta's dying on the shelves.

I'm also not sure what it is... I suggest messaging OFL for advice, or Sakura8 if they're online.
Aq salt is good for external ailments, mostly fungal. Epsom salt will help internal ailments such as bloat, constipation, etc.
