Question Anyone else have problems with tetratec heaters??

Hey everyone. Since I've had my tetratec heater in my 10 gallon for almost 2 months it only goes to 24C when I set it to 27C. But even if I set it to 30C it only stays at 24C!! Anyone else had this problem? When I turn my heater off then on again it goes to 27C like I want it to, but after an hour it falls back to a constant temperature of 24C again! Is this common? Or did I just get one of the dodgy builds

I would recommend the Elite Submersible 50w heater for your 10 gallon. I have it for mine it works great. It's also adjustable and what not, keeps my tank at a toasty 80F with no problem.

I have the Elite Mini 25 watt in my tank and it is great. It's cheap, too.

Those are nice stable heaters, I have a mini in my 5 galleon, and a 50w in my 10

The Tetra heaters have worked fine for me. I've used them for years in all four of my tanks and have never had any problems with them. They've all kept constant temperatures.

Mine keeps a constant temperature, it's just that it stays at 27•C for an hour, then goes to 24•C and stays there
