Meet Claude!

So I finally got my first betta, and I couldn't be more happy! My parents let go their price limit, so I got to pick whoever I wanted. Needless to say, he really stole my heart! I'm pretty sure he's a halfmoon, and I'm trying to decide how to classify his coloring.

My camera sucks, so I'm gonna try to get better pictures tomorrow with my friend's camera and take a video of him.

Anyway, here's Claude Giroux (named after my favorite hockey player)! I hope he can survive the next few days without a heater because the one I bought's a dud (I'm getting my money back tomorrow, and I'm ordering a better one from Amazon).

How lovely. I have always wanted a red betta, but I always seem to end up with blue, my least favorite color. lol. Does Claude have black on his tail? I look forward to seeing a good side picture of him! He looks stunning!

Thanks! He looks orange to me, but he could be red too. It looks like he has black feathering on his tail. We'll see how he looks in a few days. :)

Oh my goodness, he really is just stunning. Look at that light dusting of teal on his red scales and his pretty smokey tail!

And this was just the first day or so, right? I can't wait to see how he colors up! He will probably look more red after a while, but who knows?

I just posted a topic on how my boy has changed in about a month titled "I guess I am a Marble". Your boy probably won't change that dramatically, but just get more vibrant to the point of being even more stunning!
