QTing snails?

Hey, i got 2 new snails, one for my Betta tank and one for the Goldie tank, and they have been QTd for a week, do you think it is safe to add them? I will NOT risk the life of my fish for a freaking snail.

I would say another week or so would be better. 2 to 3 weeks for QT'ing is the best.

Okay. I just don't get it though. Even if I QT, how would that get rid of anything like Ich that might be on their shells because they don't show any signs?

Ick needs a host to live, and snails don't get ick. So basically the snail is carrying some sort of parasite/disease. Either the snail will die, or the parasites will off/die because they don't have a host to leech off.

I just bought two bushynosed plecos today and they're currently QTing in a 10 gallon tank. My primary concern with them is that they were in a type of water system that each section shares the same water, so if one fish at that store is carrying something, all of them are. They're going to be in that tank for at least 2-3 weeks. As for snails, I have no idea. I get them in with my plants sometimes but I never QT my plants because I don't have the lighting for them. Still, I haven't had any fish drop off from it.
