Exclamation Female Bettas

Ok, So i posted in my spawn thread about this but there was no reasponse so I though i'd make a thread...
My female Betta is in the breeding tank with my male. I have IAL in there and I do not know why but sometimes she will go and swim up on top of the IAL, is is not easy but she does it then she is stuck and struggles to get down. Any suggestions on what to do??

Also, What does it mean when a female betta makes a bubblenest?

One of my girl will jump on to anything that floats in her water. is the bubblenest under the leaf? if not you can sink the leaf.

unfortunetly yes the bubblenest is under the leaf... I do not understand why she is doing it.... Is it possible she wants out of the tank or is she just weird?

Bettas often seek resting/hiding places that is most "unseen" by others. On the leaf she probably feels more secure than anywhere else.... it's normal. Let her be. Many of mine - male and female - do this. .... make sure she can't jump too high and out of the tank - though this is unlikely, yet it's better safe than sorry.
