Am I a Delta or a HM?

So here is little Wentworth, the fish I took in from a co worker because her daughter didn't want to care for the fish anymore. She had him in a gallon bowl, no filter or heater (and that water was COLD, when I put in a thermometer, it was only in the high 60s) . He was teeny, didn't look like he had eaten in weeks.

He has come alive and is a different fish since being in a large, heated and filtered tank. He has hidey holes, plants (silk), gets fed 3 small meals a day. He is SO much more active and feisty. When I first got him, I didn't know if he would survive, he barely moved, would float sideways at times at the top of his bowl. He is still a bit skinny, but we are working on getting him to the desired shape slowly and surely.

Anyways, I wanted to know if he was a HM or a delta. Here is a before picture of him (the day I brought him home) and one I took tonight of him flaring (don't mind my awful acrylic tank, hard to take a picture through!).

under show standards he would be a delta (over 120 less then 180) .. half moon is exactly 180 fin span .. over 180 is a OHM (over half moon) .. but this trait is still in the HM category .. since OHM's a term breeders use to sell for a higher price

but we're not show judges .. =D we don't care if he's a hm or a delta .. he's beautiful and happy and that's all that matters ^_^ .. unless ur planning on putting him in a show @_@

Thanks everyone, I am happy with the progress he is making, just seems like a happier little fish.

He looks like a delta to me as well...Just a little more of a flare and he would be a HM though...He is a gorgeous betta!
