how often are bettas suppose to poo?

ok i know gross topic .. sorrie for the graphics @_@ .. but

currently i have nimbus in what i call a space acclimation tank (1.25g of water at the moment 5g total size .. water changes every 2 days) which i add .25g's of extra water each week (so this week he'll be in 1.5g) so he can develop his fins to be stronger before moving him to his 10g perm home ..

so there's no gravel in there .. just a marimo ball .. so it's easy for me to get his poo out ..

when i first got him he pooed only once a day .. but now i notice that he will poo 2-3 hrs after i feed him (which i remove poo from his acclimation tank to put in his 10g tank that is cycling atm) .. i haven't changed his feeding or food type schedule since i got him .. is this too much pooing ?

It could be he is digesting better as he exercises more. Isn't exercise supposed to be good for constipation?

As long as he is still pooping I would say that is a great thing! Keep up the good work!

I'd say, like Kyt, his digestion system may be getting better in ways. When transporting for sales, along with in the store, they don't normally get fed. So going from bare minimal/none to food, his digestion system is playing catch up to the new food intake.
