Walmart rescue :D

So I was at walmart last night when I spotted two little girls...I couldn't just leave them there :/ I know fish at walmart don't really stand a chance so I HAD to give them a fighting chance at a good life :) I really wish walmart would stop selling fish....ANYWAY here are some pictures :) I got the stuff to make the homemade dividers too.

Poor fishys. =(
I always check my walmarts for fish when I'm there. I haven't seen any bettas (or almost no fish at all) in a good year. o_O Usually pretty empty other than some goldfish. I guess thats a good thing, though. =)

Well I have been floating them in there plastic cups, and will be adding them tomorrow when I can watch them. They look healthy, and dont show any signs of stress. They have calmed down in there attempt to attack my (used to be small) big female betta...she pretty much ignores them which I find funny xD

Isn't there something illegal that wal mart is doing? We went to wal mart the other day and they had dead catfish that look like they had been there FOREVER, the bettas were the most pitiful sight. One only had about half an inch of water in its cup and the others looked terrible. :( There was only one CT who looked kinda peppy. I think they had just put it on the shelf.

Unfortunately...no. I don't think its "illegal". Animal abuse maybe, but 99% of the population sees it as "just a fish" so it goes largely unnoticed, and unpunished :/
